Friday was an Orange Out at FES, and it was wonderful to see all of the school spirit!
With the cold and wet weather upon us, please be sure your child comes to school with warm clothes and a coat. Don’t forget to check the Lost and Found before the end of the week—it’s filling up quickly!

Tomorrow is our Puddle Jumper Assembly. ECEAP - 1st grade is from 2:15-2:40, and 2nd-4th grade will be from 2:45-3:10.
If you are planning on taking your child after the assembly, check in with the office and let them know before the assembly begins.
Our lost and found is full. Please check or have your child check for lost items.
We are asking that families do not send their students in Halloween costumes tomorrow. Our dress up day for tomorrow is ALL ORANGE! The class with the most orange will win a prize!

Drop off and pick up reminders: Yellow Zone & Circle Lot Safety
Student safety is always our top priority during arrival and dismissal. To help keep everyone safe and traffic flowing smoothly:
Circle Parking Lot — This area is not a drop-off or pick-up zone. If you are using the circle lot, please park your car and walk your child to or from the sidewalk.
Stopping at the curb for students to “hop in or out” blocks traffic and creates unsafe conditions for students and drivers.
Yellow Zone Drive-Through — If you prefer to stay in your vehicle, please use the yellow zone line for drop-off and pick-up. Staff are there to help keep the process safe and efficient.

Friday is our Puddle Jumper Assembly. If you are planning on picking your child up after the assembly, please check in at the office prior to the assembly.
Friday is also our ORANGE dress up day. Encourage your child to wear as much orange as possible!

The book fair will be open next week before school and after school. On Tuesday, the book fair will open from 5–7 as well.
For student safety, we ask that families do not go on the playground before, during or at the end of the school day. Thank you for helping us keep kids safe.

•The Lost & Found is starting to overflow already. We will be cleaning out and donating anything left after this Friday.
*Please remember to put your child’s name in their coats!

This week, students practiced how to evacuate the building in case of fire. We practice different drills every month, so kids have an idea of what to expect it there were an actual emergency. They did a GREAT job!
PTO sponsored Donut Day this morning, and what a wonderful turn out! THANK YOU, PTO, for all you do to bring joy to our school!
A friendly reminder that our bus loop is gated, so if you are coming onto campus, you will need to use the front parking lot.
Coming up next week: Early Release on Wednesday, October 1. Students will be dismissed at 2:15. On Friday, October 3, we will be having our first Puddle Jumper Assembly of the year, where we will celebrate students who show respect. FES families, happy Friday! It was a great week to be a Puddle Jumper. Students have been working on their first round of iReady testing. These scores help us know how best to support your students in class. I am proud of their effort!

In the next couple of days, or maybe even already, your child will be bringing home two letters, one from the counselor and one about our Character Strong social emotional screener. I will also add them in the Rooms’ app in the parents zone folders.

Tuesday, September 16, our nurse will be facilitating a hearing and vision clinic on campus for our students.
Wednesday, September 17, will be an early release day. Students are dismissed at 2:15 pm.
