Over the weekend, we had 11 students from the Forks High School Chess Club compete in the Olympic Regional Chess Tournament. Our team ranked 3rd place and was given a berth in the State Tournament on February 28 and March 1. We will be attending the State tournament in Stanwood for two nights.
In addition, Alvaro Martin Mendoza placed as an individual and earned a medal.
