On March 15th and 16th our high school held a senior auction, where businesses and locals in the community donated very generously. This was a live auction and was also broadcasted on the radio for those who couldn’t make it in person. The funds from this auction go towards supporting our seniors, specifically for the Quillayute Valley scholarship. This scholarship helps our seniors pursue their post-graduation goals. Hundreds of people from our community came out to this exciting event, filling the seats in hopes to be the highest bidder on the items they had their eyes on. Items ranged from locally donated baked goods, certificates for services, art pieces, and wood carvings, to free reservations from local resorts.

From Faith Romberg, one of our senior coordinators this year:

"The scholarship auction for the Class of 2025 was an incredible success, breaking all previous records by raising an astonishing $220,000! As the coordinator of this year's event, it was truly rewarding to see everyone come together and help make this happen.

I'm especially grateful to those who took the time and reached out to local businesses for donations. Their efforts brought in an impressive amount of contributions, including four standout items that greatly increased our total number. We had the pleasure of auctioning off a stunning 1974 Stingray Corvette, a classic 1995 Monte Carlo, a reliable 2014 Subaru Tribeca, and a cherished piece of history—the original Forks High School sign. Each of these items drew great bids, generating significant funds for our scholarship program.

Thank you to everyone who donated, bid, and volunteered their time and energy to make this event a success. It is a great example of our community's generosity and commitment to supporting the students' futures. Together, we made a difference. Only in Forks. "
